ECESCON 7 (Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Conference) will be held in the city of Thessaloniki on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April 2014. This scientific conference is organised under the auspices of the Rectorship of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the Deanery of the School of Engineering and the Department of the Electrical and Computer Engineering. ECESCON is nationally acknowledged and has become an institution in the field of Electrical Engineering. This year AUTH accommodates ECESCON for the second time after a 5 years’ period of successfully organised conferences all over our country. The conference will be held in the Main Ceremony Hall of AUTH. More than 1000 students from all over Greece, 30 academics as a scientific committee, seven internationally acknowledged scientists and various research groups are going to participate in ECESCON 7.

During the first two days of the conference, internationally renowned scientists will deliver lectures in order for students to be up to date on the technological developments, the job market and the qualifications a contemporary engineer should have. In addition, undergraduate and postgraduate students will have the chance to present their projects in the wide domain of Electrical Engineering. The presentation of academic work in ECESCON validates the work’s originality. On the last day the schedule is focused on youth entrepreneurship while taking into account the modern need for innovation. Finally, workshops will be held to maintain the interactive nature of the conference.
